Singapore reported 481 new confirmed coronavirus cases as of Sunday noon (July 26), taking Singapore’s total to 50,369 cases.
Sunday’s tally also took Singapore’s total number of confirmed cases past 50,000.
They include five community cases, all of whom are work pass holders, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Sunday.
There are also four imported cases who had been placed on stay-home notices upon arrival in Singapore. Migrant workers living in dormitories made up the vast majority of the other cases.
To date, Wuhan, China, the city where the coronavirus pandemic began has reported a total of 50,340 cases according to official government statistics.
Despite having more confirmed cases than Wuhan, the death toll in Singapore is significantly lower at only 27 while 15 who tested positive have died of other causes. A total of 3,869 people have died in Wuhan.
